Vote Tally

Sunrises: #5 was in the lead until the last day (25), #2 pulled ahead and won 1st place (26), #4 came in 3rd (12), #1 came in 4th (4) and #3 came in last (2).

Sunsets: #1 came in 1st (24), #3 came in 2nd (17), #5 came in 3rd (8), #2 came in 4th (2), and #4 came in last (0).

Based on some of your comments, Karl Taylor's own work, and the previous winning contestant's images I am entering the contest with Sunset #3. Mainly because of the composition, the driftwood in the foreground, the poles in the water that frame it and the boats in the distance. Click the Thumbnail to left to see a larger high res version of the chosen image (sunset #3) for the contest.

Sunrises

All the sunrises below were taken of Ninigret pond, Charlestown, RI.

(#2) 2/13/11

Sunrise 2 - 1st Place - Total Slides 15 (2/13/11)

If you voted for this beautiful Sunrise then you will love viewing the rest of the images I shot on that colorful winter morning. If you only have time to look at one slide show, this is the one. Not only are there gorgeous variations of the original Sunrise, but there are also stunning close ups of the birds on the purple and orange colored water.
